A Murder at the End of the World

How did I miss A Murder at the End of the World? Released last year, it’s an ornate, sci-fi Gen-Z whodunnit from Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij. Platformed on FX on Hulu, Disney in the UK, and with actual physical media knocking around too, it’s a fairly wild ride that’s of a piece with their previous cinematic collaborations The Sound of My Voice and The East. And as with their tv show The OA, there are imperfections, and groan-worthy moments that make you roll your eyes, but that’s largely because imaginative risks are taken in almost every scene…..
