Blu-ray Sales: February 18-24

For the week that ended on February 24th, Lionsgate Home Entertainment’s The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes remained on top of the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts in its second week. The latest film in the Hunger Games franchise is a prequel set decades before the adventures of Katniss Everdeen, and opened in November 2023 to mixed reviews. However, with a budget of $100 million, the film found financial success, topping the box office in its first two weekends en route to over $166 million domestically and a global haul of over $337 million. This week, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes had a strong HD share of 85%, with 23% of units sold from the 4K UHD format….
