FDA delighted to support Film London’s Distributor Slate Days 2024

FDAThe Film Distributors’ Association (FDA) represents the interests of film distributors in the UK and Ireland. Its membership ranges from Hollywood studios to independent operators and is responsible for 99% of all films released theatrically in the territory.

This week, Film London’s Distributor Slate Days 2024 took place across two days (25-26 September) at London’s Picturehouse Central. Now in its 10th year of operation, the event brings together delegates and attendees from the exhibition and distribution sectors to connect and celebrate the upcoming theatrical releases headed for cinemas in late 2024 and beyond.

Supported by the FDA, Filmbankmedia, Comscore, Screen International, the Black Film Collective and Usheru, Slate Days brings together exhibitors, distributors and industry partners for a 2-day programme of slate presentations and networking meetings. Across the last decade, the event has grown in size and stature with the number of attendees and the breadth of films presented continually increasing.

Attended by more than 300 exhibitors comprising cinemas, film festivals and film clubs, almost 30 distributors were represented at Slate Days this year. From smaller independent outfits to the biggest international studios, distributors presented the pick of their upcoming theatrical slates for exhibition operators of all shapes and sizes, showcasing something for every audience.

Adrian Wootton, Chief Executive of Film London and the British Film Commission, said:

‘I passionately believe movies are made for the big screen, so I am delighted to provide this opportunity for distributors and exhibitors to forge stronger ties and explore new collaborative partnerships.
