This Week on Blu-ray: November 13-19

For the week of November 13th, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release Antoine Fuqua’s The Equalizer 3, starring Denzel Washington, Dakota Fanning, Eugenio Mastrandrea, David Denman, Gaia Scodellaro and Remo Girone.

Description: Since giving up his life as a government assassin, Robert McCall (Denzel Washington) has struggled to reconcile the horrific things he’s done in the past and finds a strange solace in serving justice on behalf of the oppressed. Finding himself surprisingly at home in Southern Italy, he discovers his new friends are under the control of local crime bosses. As events turn deadly, McCall knows what he has to do: become his friends’ protector by taking on the mafia.

Sony’s 4K UHD release of The Equalizer 3 contains a Dolby Atmos audio track, with Dolby Vision HDR. Blu-ray exclusive extras include deleted scenes, and additional extras include five featurettes and a music video. In addition to standard packaging, a Best Buy Exclusive 4K UHD SteelBook and a Walmart Exclusive Blu-ray SteelBook will also be available.

On the same day, Sony will release The Equalizer 3-Movie Collection (2014-2023) in separate Blu-ray and 4K UHD editions. On 4K UHD, all three films, including The Equalizer 3, will feature IMAX Enhanced picture, with The Equalizer having DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio, and The Equalizer 2 and The Equalizer 3 having DTS:X audio tracks, making these discs different to the standalone 4K UHD editions….
