The Voice from the Screen (1926) – Vitaphone Demonstration #1

Another experimental sound film made in 1926 was “The Voice from the Screen,” where Edward B. Craft, executive vice president at Bell Laboratories, explains the Vitaphone recording system and its labor, filming the popular vaudevillian duo Witt and Berg. This is included in the Blu-ray/DVD of 1927’s classic “The Jazz Singer.”
