New to BBC iPlayer this week (11-17 November) we have fresh drama from award winning writer Theresa Ikoko – Grime Kids.

For Murder in Successville fans there’s Who Killed Santa? A Murderville Murder Mystery, based on the BAFTA award winning BBC Three series.

Children in Need 2023 delivers three-hours of comedy, music and surprise guests, the Earthshot Prize Awards offers a star-studded celebration of the very best ideas and initiatives to help save our planet and Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla will be joined by members of the Royal Family at the Royal British Legion’s Festival of Remembrance from the Royal Albert Hall in London

What’s coming new to BBC iPlayer this week?

Grime Kids

Grime Kids is a brand new, fictional story created by Ikoko, inspired by DJ Target’s non-fiction book of the same name.

The series charts the rise of a fictional group of young adults growing up in the early 2000s, dreaming of being able to make their voice heard through music. Grime Kids celebrates the cultures and communities that gave birth to a genre that took over the world.

Who Killed Santa? Murder in Successville, Murderville

Based on the BAFTA award winning BBC Three series Murder in Successville, Murderville returns for a festive special.

Senior Detective Terry Seattle (Will Arnett) is back and this time,the case is critical. Along with his two celebrity guest stars, Jason Bateman and Maya Rudolph, he is on a mission to figure out… who killed Santa?

Children in Need 2023

Ade Adepitan MBE, Mel Giedroyc, Jason Manford, Chris Ramsey, Lenny Rush and Alex Scott MBE will host an evening of exclusive sketches and performances featuring well-known faces as you’ve never seen them before.

The Earthshot Prize 2023

The Earthshot Prize 2023 is a star-studded celebration of the very best ideas and initiatives to help save our planet.

Attended by Earthshot founder, HRH Prince William, and Sir David Attenborough, and including special musical performances by OneRepublic and Bastille among others, this glamorous event, held in spectacular Singapore, will treat us to the inspirational stories of everyday heroes around the globe, who are succeeding in their ambitions to reduce our impact and improve our lives.

Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance 2023

Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla will be joined by members of the Royal Family at The Royal British Legion’s annual Festival of Remembrance from the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Hosted by Clare Balding – music artists include British soul legend Mica Paris, popstar Calum Scott, Chelsea Pensioner Colin Thackery, Festival favourite Alfie Boe, singer songwriter Katie Melua, chart-topping DJ-duo Sigma featuring Morgan and 14 year old opera singing sensation Malaki. The Band of HM Royal Marines and The Band of The Royal Airforce Regiment will create awe inspiring displays of military music. This year’s event will commemorate the significant anniversaries of two crucial historical battles.

It is eighty years since The Battle of the Atlantic, the longest military campaign of World War II and the seventieth anniversary of the Korean War in which many national servicemen fought and died, with veterans from both wars present in the Hall.
