For the week that ended on March 9th, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment’s Wonka remained on top of both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts in its second week. A prequel based on the Roald Dahl novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the film stars Timothée Chalamet as a young Willy Wonka, prior to his becoming a famous chocolatier. Directed by Paul King (who previously helmed both Paddington and Paddington 2), Wonka premiered in December 2023 to positive reviews and became a success at the holiday box office, grossing over $217 million domestically and over $628 million worldwide.
