For those seeking darker thrills, we have “The Crow” (1994), Alfred Hitchcock’s “The Birds” (1963), the South Korean action thriller “The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil” (2019), and all four films in “The Hunger Games” series. And don’t miss the acclaimed drama “The Truman Show” (1998) starring Jim Carrey.
Series
On April 4th, we’re bringing back all eight series of the popular American television drama “Charmed” (1998-2006). Join the three sisters who happen to be witches as they protect the innocent from dark forces. This beloved series is a must-watch for fans of supernatural dramas.
In an exciting partnership with AMC Stories, ITVX will launch additional series on April 8th. Get ready for a laughter-filled adventure with “Finding Joy” series 1&2 (2018-2020), a warm and funny Irish comedy created, written, and starring Amy Huberman. Follow the journey of Jim Brockmire (Hank Azaria) in “Brockmire” series 1-4 (2017-2020), as he tries to reclaim his career as a major league baseball announcer after a notorious public breakdown. Immerse yourself in the epic family saga of “The Son” series 1&2 (2017-2019), based on Philipp Meyer’s acclaimed novel, and witness the absurd and dreamy world of “Portlandia” series 1-8 (2011-2018), created by Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein. Join the lovable Dud in “Lodge 49” series 1&2 (2018-2019), a light-hearted modern fable set in Long Beach, California. Experience the Emmy Nominated parody series “Documentary Now!” series 1-4 (2015-2022), created by Seth Meyers, Bill Hader, and Fred Armisen. And if you’re a fan of horror, don’t miss “Creep Show” series 1-4 (2019-2023), an anthology series that explores terrifying tales.
On April 11th, get ready for some adrenaline-pumping action with “American Ninja Warrior Junior” series 3. Watch children aged 9 to 14 compete against each other on the ultimate obstacle course.
Documentaries
April is also a month for thought-provoking documentaries. On April 14th, join us as we say farewell to the former film studios in “Century 21, Slough” (2018). Take a trip down memory lane with the original AP Films team members as they tour recreated sets, models, and puppets alongside studio originals.
Travel to the future with “Fireball XL5” (1962) and join the World Space Patrol ship on their thrilling missions. Immerse yourself in the captivating life and TV productions of Gerry Anderson MBE in “Stand By For Action! Gerry Anderson in Concert” (2022). Experience the unique celebration of Gerry Anderson’s music, performed live in concert.
ITVX Kids
For our young viewers, we have an exciting lineup of shows that will entertain and inspire. On April 11th, get ready for the action-packed “American Ninja Warrior Junior” series 3, where children aged 9 to 14 compete on an ultimate obstacle course.
On April 18th, join the lovable character Blippi on a European adventure of a lifetime in “Blippi’s European Adventure.” Explore iconic landmarks, ride fire trucks, and discover the wonders of Europe.
And on April 25th, embark on a musical adventure with “Riley Rocket” series 1. Follow young Riley and her group MegaBlast as they transform into secret superheroes using the power of music to save their community.
The Beast Must Die
On April 29th, prepare yourself for an intense thriller with “The Beast Must Die” (2021). Frances Cairnes (Cush Jumbo) takes matters into her own hands after the police investigation into her son’s hit and run is dropped. Posing as a novelist, Frances ingratiates herself with the family of the man she suspects is responsible and sets a plan in motion to kill him. BritBox UK Highlights
On BritBox UK, we have some classic sitcom series and sci-fi favorites for you to enjoy. Dive into the hilarious world of “Sorry!” starring Ronnie Corbett and “Terry & June” starring Terry Scott and June Whitfield. Experience the sci-fi adventures of “Space Patrol” series 1 and indulge in the comedic genius of “Monty Python’s Flying Circus” series 3.
