SINGAPORE, JULY 15, 2025—Prime Video today announced that The Siege at Thorn High, the highest-grossing Indonesian action-thriller with over 1.8 million viewers, will have its streaming premiere exclusively on Prime Video on August 15. The film marks the first-ever theatrical film produced by a Southeast Asian production company, Come and See Pictures, for Amazon MGM studios is set to stream on Prime Video in Indonesia and in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Joko Anwar, The Siege at Thorn High blends gripping action with bold, socially relevant themes, making it one of the most talked-about titles of the year.

Set in 2027, The Siege at Thorn High follows the journey of Edwin (Morgan Oey). Eighteen years after witnessing an assault on his sister during a riot, Edwin is determined to fulfill her dying wish—to find her child born from the horrific incident. His search leads him to become a teacher at Thorn High School, a school for troubled teens. There, Edwin faces the unruliest students while searching for his nephew. When he finally discovers the teen, another riot erupts, trapping them in the school and forcing them to fight for their survival against a group of violent students now out for blood.

Bringing this gripping story to life is a talented ensemble cast, headlined by Morgan Oey, Hana Pitrashata Malasan, and Omara Esteghlal.
