Filmmaker Ron Howard remembers virtuosic director, producer and actor Roger Corman, who championed women and gave many Hollywood greats their first directing break.
For Howard, it was 1977’s Grand Theft Auto which he directed and starred in via New World Pictures (founded by Roger and his brother Gene). Corman died on May 9, 2024, aged 98 years.
Ron Howard directs Jim Henson Idea Man, a documentary about another independent screen legend, which is out now in select US theaters and via Disney+ May 31.
