While we make every effort to ensure details are correct at the time of publication (Thursday 12 March) all dates are subject to amendment and may be moved in the schedule prior to final exchange.
Spymasters: The Great Spy Writers
Kipling to Graham Greene – Part 1 of 4
Spymasters is a new four-part series exploring the lives and secrets of remarkable spies and spy authors in literature and film. This series explores the lives, works, and secrets of some of the most brilliant spy authors in literature, from Erskine Childers to John le Carré, and how they have shaped the popular spy genre.
In our opening episode, we examine Rudyard Kipling and his novel Kim – widely considered to be one of the earliest and most influential books of the spy genre. Also, we cover the works of writer, journalist and intelligence agent Graham Greene, who penned genre defining novels including The Quiet American, The Third Man and Our Man in Havana.
